The Southern Cross O&M/AR&R customer meetings have just finished and once again Customers, Suppliers, Landing Party Managers and Southern Cross representatives came together to discuss key topics, in San Francisco.
The event commenced with a relaxed welcoming reception on the first evening, followed by O&M Meeting No 15 on the next day. On the third day AR&R Meeting No 14 was held and at its conclusion, a number of customers took the opportunity to visit picturesque San Francisco.
The two forum meetings covered a variety of topics including:
• A review of the years activities on the network,
• A progress report on the current Network expansion projects,
• Explanation and ratification of the Annual O&M budget,
• A review of the AR&R papers covering a variety of topics
• Presentations by key Southern Cross suppliers.
In addition, a participative forum session was held on the topic of Ethernet which gave Southern Cross the opportunity to hear customer’s feedback on the proposed Southern Cross Giganet Ethernet product and how it may meet their requirements.
Those that attended were very impressed and appreciative of the opportunity to attend the forums which have traditionally been a mix of informative meetings, good food and drink, combined with the opportunity to network with fellow attendees.
Staying in the beautiful Fairmont Hotel, it was certainly an experience to wake every morning with a view of the impressive San Francisco bridge.
These forums are also an important part of the Southern Cross feedback process and participation by all those involved was greatly appreciated, and I believe greatly rewarding. Thank you to all involved!
