Southern Cross is delighted to welcome back one of its favourite operations team members, Gwenn Nedelec. After a six month leave of absence Gwenn has returned to her role as Systems Engineer, but with a twist – she is now based in Sydney, Australia.
Gwenn has spent the previous six months in her native France so she could spend some time with her family “It was wonderful to be able to have so much quality time with my friends and family” said Gwenn, “I also really enjoyed being part of the French lifestyle again and of course eating all the delicious cuisine, particularly the cheese”.
However, even while on leave Gwenn couldn’t quite leave Southern Cross behind as she still provided technical assistance on an occasional basis.
While Gwenn acknowledges that it can be hard being so far away from her family, she is pleased to be back full time with Southern Cross and is looking forward to the new challenges and learning opportunities ahead of her and is every excited about her move from Auckland, New Zealand to Sydney, Australia. “Living in a new country is such an adventure and it is fun being immersed in a new culture and lifestyle” says Gwenn, “although I am hoping that I won’t pick up an Aussie accent”.
